Book on Islamic architecture published in Italy

TEHRAN -- “Sulle vie dell’Islam” (“On the Streets of Islam”) has recently been released in Italy by Gangemi Publications.
Architect and regional political researcher Glauco D’Agostino’s is the author of the book. He has done several reviews on Islamic architecture and its impact on Western styles during visits he made to different countries, Iran’s cultural attaché to Rome Akbar Qoli told the Persian service of IRNA.In his eight-volume book he reviews the process of Islamic movements since the Prophet Muhammad (S) to contemporary times from the religious and political perspective, he said.
He reviews the notion of Islamophobia and concludes that Islam remains unknown to Westerns.
In his book, D’Agostino also highlights symbolism in Islamic architecture and sacred places.
